Helium 10 is worth it in 2026 for brands doing roughly $100K to $10M a year that use keyword research weekly and want ads, listings and AI access in one suite on Diamond ($279/mo billed yearly). Below $100K it usually is not: since April 2026, Platinum caps Cerebro and Magnet at 100 searches a month and excludes Helium 10 Ads. Run the Unbundle Line first. SellerForge (ours, from $49/mo) runs the account side and does not replace Helium 10's research.
Helium 10 is worth it in 2026 for one kind of seller: a brand doing roughly $100K to $10M a year that opens keyword research every week and wants ads, listings and an AI connector behind one login. For that seller, Diamond at $279 a month billed yearly is fair value. For most sellers under $100K, it is not, and the reason is a change most reviews still miss.
In April 2026, Helium 10 cut its Platinum plan. Keyword research dropped to 100 searches a month and Helium 10 Ads moved to Diamond only. Most of the pages ranking for this question are affiliate reviews that still describe the old Platinum, so their verdicts no longer match what you can buy.

Is Helium 10 Worth It in 2026? The Short Answer
Helium 10 is worth it if you are past about $100K in yearly sales, use Cerebro or Magnet most weeks, and would run ads or listing work through it on Diamond. It is rarely worth it if you are validating a first product, use only one or two of its tools, or need more than 100 keyword searches a month on a Platinum budget.
| Your situation | Worth it? | Plan to buy | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pre-launch, validating a first product | Usually no | Free plan, or Jungle Scout | Platinum's 100 keyword searches a month run out during research sprints, and there is no supplier database |
| Under $100K a year, one or two products | Maybe | Platinum ($99/mo billed yearly) | Fine for light keyword checks plus Freedom Ticket training; no Helium 10 Ads |
| $100K to $10M a year, keyword-heavy, runs ads | Yes | Diamond ($279/mo billed yearly) | Research without the 100-search wall, Helium 10 Ads, AI Listing Builder, MCP access |
| $100K+ a year, but mainly checks profit | No | A profit tracker instead | You would pay $279+ a month for a job Sellerboard does from $19 |
| Beyond $10M a year, or 10+ users | Yes, as Enterprise | Enterprise (from $1,499/mo) | Larger ad budgets, 15+ seller accounts, a dedicated success manager |
How Much Does Helium 10 Cost in 2026?
Helium 10 costs $129 a month for Platinum or $359 for Diamond on monthly billing, and $99 or $279 a month when billed yearly. Enterprise starts at $1,499 a month, billed annually. A limited free plan remains, the old Starter plan is closed to new sign-ups, and Diamond adds a 2% fee on ad spend managed through Helium 10 Ads.
| Plan | Monthly billing | Billed yearly | Built for (per Helium 10) | Key limits |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | n/a | Testing the tools | Limited Chrome extension access and low tool caps |
| Platinum | $129/mo | $99/mo ($1,188/yr) | $0 to $100K yearly sales | 100 Cerebro and Magnet searches a month; no Helium 10 Ads; 1 extra user |
| Diamond | $359/mo | $279/mo ($3,348/yr) | $100K to $10M yearly sales | Helium 10 Ads at 2% of managed spend; Helium AI agent; MCP up to 1,000 calls; 5 extra users |
| Enterprise | n/a | From $1,499/mo | Beyond $10M yearly sales | 10+ users, 15+ seller accounts, up to 5,000 ASINs |
The yearly discount is real money: $360 a year on Platinum and $960 on Diamond. It is also a prepaid commitment. My rule on every account I ran was to stay monthly until a tool had survived one full renewal review, then switch to yearly billing for the savings.
What Changed in 2026: Why Older Helium 10 Reviews Are Wrong
Two 2026 changes reset the value math. Helium 10 retired its cheap Starter plan and raised monthly prices by about 30%, then in April cut Platinum's entitlements and moved Helium 10 Ads to Diamond only. Any review that says Platinum includes the PPC tool, or quotes a sub-$50 entry plan, describes a plan you can no longer buy.
- Starter retired: the sub-$50 entry plan closed to new sign-ups early in 2026, which made Platinum the cheapest paid plan.
- Monthly repricing: Platinum went from $99 to $129 month-to-month and Diamond from $279 to $359; yearly billing stayed at $99 and $279.
- Platinum cuts (April 2026): Cerebro and Magnet capped at 100 searches a month, Listing Builder AI limited to five lifetime optimizations, Alerts limited to five ASINs, and Helium 10 Ads removed.
- AI moved up-market: the Helium AI agent and the Helium 10 MCP connector, launched July 16, 2026 for Claude, Claude Code, Cursor and ChatGPT, are Diamond features.
Which Helium 10 Tools Do Sellers Actually Use?
Most private-label sellers open four or five Helium 10 tools in a normal week: Cerebro for reverse-ASIN keywords, Magnet for seed keywords, the Keyword Tracker, the Chrome extension's Xray, and Profits or Helium 10 Ads if they use them. Black Box, Listing Builder and most of the other tools get used in bursts around launches, then sit idle for months.
Across the 57 accounts I managed, the pattern held. The keyword tools earned their keep every week on growing brands. Product research spiked before a launch and went quiet after it. The tools that overlapped something we already paid for, mostly profit dashboards and review requests, were the first to be ignored. Nobody overpays for the tools they use. They overpay because of the ones they don't.
| Helium 10 tool | Job | How often a typical PL brand opens it (operator estimate) | Plan where it is usable |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cerebro | Reverse-ASIN keyword research | Weekly | Platinum (100 searches/mo); Diamond |
| Magnet | Seed keyword research | Weekly during listing work | Platinum (100 searches/mo); Diamond |
| Keyword Tracker | Rank tracking | Daily to weekly | Add-on on Platinum; included on Diamond |
| Xray (Chrome extension) | Quick market sizing on a search page | Weekly | Platinum and up |
| Black Box | Product opportunity hunting | Bursts before launches | Platinum and up |
| Helium 10 Ads | PPC bids, rules, dayparting | Daily, if you use it | Diamond only (2% of managed spend) |
| Profits | Profit dashboard | Weekly, if you have no other tracker | Limited on Platinum; Diamond |
| Listing Builder AI | Listing drafts | Bursts | 5 lifetime uses on Platinum; Diamond |
The Unbundle Line: A 10-Minute Test Before You Renew
The Unbundle Line is the point where buying the two or three Helium 10 jobs you actually use as separate tools costs less than the plan you are paying for. If your used jobs cost less standalone, Helium 10 is not worth it for you this year. If the standalone stack costs more, or loses data you rely on, renew without guilt.
- 1Open your Helium 10 activity for the last 30 days and list every tool you opened at least once a week.
- 2Name the job each tool does in plain words: keyword research, rank tracking, ads, profit, listing drafts or product research.
- 3Price the best standalone tool for each job at the billing you would really use, monthly or yearly.
- 4Add the standalone prices together and compare them with your full Helium 10 bill, including add-ons and the 2% Helium 10 Ads fee.
- 5Score the switching cost: keyword history, ad automation rules and team habits. If moving loses something you cannot rebuild in a week, add that cost to the standalone side.
- 6Renew only if Helium 10 is still cheaper after step 5, or if one job you rely on has no real equal outside the suite.
Two worked examples show where the line falls. Seller A is a small brand on Platinum; Seller B is a growing brand on Diamond. Both bill yearly.
| Seller A: $60K a year, Platinum | Seller B: $1.8M a year, Diamond | |
|---|---|---|
| Jobs used weekly | Keyword research, rank tracking, profit | Heavy reverse-ASIN research, 1,000+ tracked keywords, AI listing drafts, Walmart keywords, MCP |
| Helium 10 bill | $99 + $19 rank-tracking add-on = $118/mo | $279/mo (ads run elsewhere, so no 2% fee) |
| Standalone stack | Jungle Scout Growth Accelerator ($49, includes keyword research and 500 tracked keywords) + Sellerboard ($15) = $64/mo | Jungle Scout Brand Owner ($129) covers research and tracking but not Cerebro-depth reverse-ASIN or Walmart keyword data |
| Verdict | Below the Unbundle Line: switching saves about $650 a year | On the line on price; switching cost (keyword history, Walmart data) says renew |
A rule of thumb from my own renewals: a research suite should cost under 1% of yearly revenue. Diamond billed yearly is $3,348, which is 3.3% of revenue at $100K and 0.3% at $1M. That is why the same plan can be a bargain for one brand and a tax on another.
Helium 10 Platinum vs Diamond: Which Plan Is Worth It?
Diamond is the plan worth buying if you use Helium 10 seriously; Platinum is worth it only for light, focused use. Since April 2026, the $180-a-month yearly gap buys keyword research without the 100-search cap, Helium 10 Ads, the AI Listing Builder, the Helium AI agent and MCP access. If you need none of those, Platinum is enough. If you need two, Diamond earns its price.
| Feature | Platinum ($99/mo yearly, $129 monthly) | Diamond ($279/mo yearly, $359 monthly) |
|---|---|---|
| Cerebro and Magnet | 100 searches a month | No monthly cap listed (daily limits apply) |
| Keyword rank tracking | Add-on from $19/mo | Included |
| Helium 10 Ads | Not included | Included; 2% of managed ad spend |
| AI Listing Builder | 5 lifetime AI optimizations | Included, integrated with keyword research |
| Helium AI agent and MCP | No | Yes; MCP up to 1,000 calls, then an add-on |
| Profit and inventory reporting | Limited profit reporting | Profit and loss reporting, inventory management, managed refund service |
| Extra users | 1 | 5 |
| Built for | $0 to $100K yearly sales | $100K to $10M yearly sales |
My call: if you are under $100K and Platinum's caps do not bind you, Platinum is reasonable, mostly because Freedom Ticket is useful training for a first-year seller. The moment you hit the 100-search wall twice in a quarter, you are on the wrong plan or the wrong tool, and the Unbundle Line tells you which.
Is Helium 10 Ads Worth the 2% Fee?
Helium 10 Ads is worth it for Diamond users spending roughly $2,000 to $20,000 a month who want rules, dayparting and keyword data in one tool. The 2% management fee is $100 a month at $5,000 of managed spend and $400 at $20,000, on top of Diamond. Above that, compare it with dedicated PPC platforms on total cost, not sticker price.
Run the full number before deciding. At $20,000 a month in ad spend on monthly billing, Diamond plus the fee is $759 a month. At that level you are buying a PPC platform either way, so line Helium 10 Ads up against the dedicated platforms on what each one actually does every day, not on the plan name.
Who Should Skip Helium 10, and What to Use Instead
Skip Helium 10 if you are pre-launch and need supplier sourcing, if you only need profit tracking, or if your research fits inside Amazon's free tools. In each case a cheaper single-job tool or a free Amazon tool does the job you would be paying Helium 10 for, and the money is better spent on inventory or ads.
| If your main job is | Better fit | Price (verified October 2026) | What you give up vs Helium 10 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Validating a first product and finding a supplier | Jungle Scout Growth Accelerator | $79/mo, or $49/mo billed yearly | Cerebro-depth reverse-ASIN research |
| A free first look at demand | Amazon Product Opportunity Explorer and Brand Analytics | Free in Seller Central (Brand Analytics needs Brand Registry) | Competitor keyword depth and Chrome-extension speed |
| Profit tracking only | Sellerboard | $19/mo, or $15/mo billed yearly | Everything except profit |
| Deep keyword work plus in-suite ads at $100K+ | Helium 10 Diamond | $359/mo, or $279/mo billed yearly, plus 2% of Ads spend | Nothing; this is Helium 10's home turf |
| Running the account: health, reimbursements, listing audits, keyword rank | SellerForge (ours) | From $49/mo (Core); Weekly Business Report on Growth ($99) | Product research and supplier sourcing; pair it with a research tool |
Where SellerForge Fits (and Where It Doesn't)
SellerForge, our product, is not a Helium 10 replacement for product research, and we do not pretend otherwise. It is AI-native account intelligence from $49 a month: it watches account health, reimbursements, listings and ads across the whole account, so it pairs with a research suite rather than competing with one.
Where it does not fit: Keyword Intelligence is built around relevance coverage for the listings you already sell, not a Helium-10-sized keyword database or Black Box-style opportunity hunting, and SellerForge has no supplier database. If Cerebro is the center of your week, keep Helium 10 and add SellerForge for the run side. If you are on Platinum mostly for light keyword checks and rank tracking, SellerForge Core covers those for your own listings, plus account health and reimbursements, at $49.
